In the morning of August 30th 2012, at Thuy Loc Commune, the Provincial People Committee held a commencement ceremony of construction of Thuy Yen – Thuy Cam Reservoir. With attended of Mr. Hoang Van Thang – Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry together with representatives of Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry. Representatives of Local consist of Mr. Ho Xuan Man – Central Committee member, Party Provincial Committee Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Cao – Deputy Secretary of Party Provincial Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee with representatives of local leaders of departments and local residents.
Thuy Yen – Thuy Cam Reservoir project was constructed on two streams of Sweet river headwater (Loc Thuy Commune), approved by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, include two reservoirs: Thuy Yen and Thuy Cam. Total capacity of 2 reservoirs is 19 million m3 with total investment over 654 billion VND by Government bonds; in which capital managed by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is more than 651 billion VND; the rest is more than 2,600 million VND managed by the province's budget for compensating land clearance.
\Investor of this project is Agriculture and Rural Development Department; design organization is Vietnam irrigation construction consulting Corporation; construction unit is a joint venture between the Son Hai Group Co., LTD and Survey Consulting JSC No.2.

Leaders of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Thua Thien-Hue province pressed the button starting the construction. According to the plan, it will take nearly 4 years for this construction, divided into 2 phrases. Phrase I, from now till 2020, will provide water to irrigate for 1,270 hectares of rice and vegetables in Loc Thuy, Loc Tien commune, be a water resource supplying to Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone (CM-LC) with capacity 25 million m3/ day; Phrase II, from after 2020, will provide water to irrigate for 510 hectares of rice and vegetables in Tien Loc, Tien Thuy commune; supply water for Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone with capacity 75 – 86 million m3/ day; also creat landscapes, enhance living, promote local economic and social development.
On this occasion, representatives of the construction unit gave Phu Loc commune 100 million VND, contributing to poverty reduction to the local area located by construction mentioned above.
In the morning of the same day, in Hong Trung commune, A Luoi District, Truong Phu Hydroelectric Power JSC, help the commence ceremony of A Lin B1 hydroelectric Power Construction. Attending were: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien – Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho – Vice Chairman Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of A Luoi District and numerous of local residents.
Construction of A Lin B1 Hydropower is the large hydroelectric project in the province with a capacity of 42 MW, a reservoir capacity of 24.98 million m3, with total investment nearly 900 billion VND. As completing, it will supply national electric network 177 million KWh/year. This project is significant, as the next step for the hydroelectric power project investing in province such as: Binh Dien, Huong Dien, A Luoi Hydroelectric Power…It’s expected that this project will be finished and put in operation after 3 years of construction.
On this occasion, Truong Phu Hydroelectric Power JSC gave two houses of gratitude and total 100 million VND to vehicles supporting fund for two communes: Hong Van and Hong Trung.
